| About Us |
|
Geoffrey and Louise took over Craigburn in 1999, which had been run by Geoffrey's family for 50 years. |
|
Craigburn is still a working farm with 200 sheep and a few cows, 2 pet pigs, Minto - Jessica's pony, and hens
which help to supply the house. |
|
Louise studied food Tec at Newton Rigg College, Penrith and holds a cooks professional certificate. Her cooking
talents have lead to judging at local shows and giving sweet demonstrations at local ladies groups. |
|
Geoffrey looks after the farm with help from dad Jack, who also carves the meat to the guests at the weekends.
Geoffrey also does front of house looking after guests' needs, serving food and drinks and keeping things
running smoothly. |
|
Geoffrey and Louise have two children; Jonathan is 19 and is a vehicle technician for a local firm Lloyd Land
Rover so he keeps local farms on the roads. Jessica is studying at the local university of art and design. She
helps in the restaurant at weekends. |
